Cardiospermum halicacabum, known as the balloon plant or love in a puff, is a climbing plant.It belongs to the Sapindaceae family.For dandruff, the leaves are soaked in water and then crushed well. The oil prepared from the leaves acts as a very effective external application for arthritis and other painful conditions of the body.

How to Grow: Cardiospermum seeds need to be covered with 1/4 inch of soil and kept moist until germination.Germination should take place at about 25C and takes from three to four weeks. Seedlings should be transplanted into a sunny area of the garden at a spacing of around 60cm.As Cardiospermum is a climber it will require a trellis for support and it also requires frequent watering.

HOW TO GROW: Mix Manure with soil (30:70),and this will help in germination of seeds. Care needs to be taken to see that the soil is clean from any weed or insect.Open the seed packet on a sheet of paper and put the seeds into the prepared soil to half inch of depth. While watering, sprinkling water through a sprinkler or manually using your hands.Germination may take place 10-15 days.Then you may transplant the seedlings to various pots or desired areas.
